Valentine sighed; he was close, so close to figuring vampires out. So far there he hadn’t figured out any way to transfer their strength to a shadowhunter without actually having them turn into vampires themselves and have to be bloodsucking creatures hiding in the darkness for the rest of their lives. It was rather unfortunate, seeing as he would really have liked to have their quickened healing and immortality too. Maybe one day he’d find out about that. It’d be nice to get his hands on a couple of warlocks too, but those were a lot harder to come across; plus, the fact that they could magic themselves away really didn’t help.
But since his experimenting was done for the day, Valentine had decided that it was time for a little break. Not being one to relax, he’d headed over for the stables, deciding that he was going to clean them out now and take care of all the equipment too. He really didn’t like sitting around and idling when he could be doing something more useful. Pulling on suitable working boots, he’d cleaned out all the stalls and was in the process of putting in fresh straw when he paused and took a break, pushing his hair out of his face and rolling his shoulder. It had gotten injured in the raid a couple of days back, and even with an iratze rune, it was still bothering him a bit. It’d pass soon though – hopefully.
Sighing, Valentine stretching his shoulder out, wondering idly what the others were doing. He was going to have to go to the mundane world soon – try and convince them of their existence and have them actually be a part of the mundane world. That plan was still in the beginning phases of planning though; the next event was going to be a raid a week or so later. There was no time to rest.
