I love to read and write, hence the roleplaying. I also enjoy chatting with my friends and love to make new ones. I love to thread with anyone and everyone and often take on more plots than I can handle, but I do it nonetheless. If you have questions, an idea for a plot, or just want to talk don't hesitate to speak up! Here on A Look In The Mirror I play Lilith, Seraphina Morgenstern, Lucian Graymark, and Lily Highsmith.
I'm a mad scientist who enjoys a nice mixture of cooking and science (making Alton Brown my GOD). Writing and reading are passions to me, so that is why roleplaying is also a passion, so I get on about every day. I love anime, so I'm clearly a bit nerdy. Any need for character ideas or help for your apps, ask away, I always have ideas for characters! Here on A Look In The Mirror I play Raziel, Lukas Hexcaster, Alec Lightwood, and Klaus O'Neill.
Coding, drawing and getting distracted - that's me. You'll almost always find me in the chatbox talking about something silly or random - assuming I'm not asleep, of course. I like experimenting with different styles and ideas of roleplaying, so those are always open and I'm up for a roleplay whenever you are! My characters here are Azazel, Arianne, Valentine Morgenstern and Ash Fangcharmer.
The Mortal Instruments universe and all canon characters from the series belong to Cassandra Clare.

Still in a bad mood, Ari had flashed herself over to the Lightwood mansion. She was still furious about being ignored and she needed someone to talk to and plan the wedding with. Who better than Isabelle to help her? This time being considerate, she'd flashed herself directly out on the doorstep, Affy in her arms and gray eyes dark and brooding. How was she supposed to be her normal self after this?!
One might have expected her to have a little bit more dignity after considering how long she'd lived, but it didn't appear that way at all. No, instead it was almost as though she was even more petty and more of an attention whore. Well, fine! Who really cared anyways. She was alive and allowed to have her bad moods. Ari had always lied about suffering from PMS, which she really never had. It was just a good excuse for her so she took it.
"Izzy!" Ari yelled as she slammed the knocker down angrily, taking her frustration out on the poor door, "Izzy?" She called again, tone taking on a more whiny and pitiful tone. She felt like crying, she really did, but she never cried real tears - she'd learned to conjure up crocodile tears whenever it was necessary. Now would be the absolutely worst time for Izzy to have one of her boyfriends over. It was just so not fair. Why couldn't love just stop leaving her stranded and heartbroken?!

Izzy was sitting in the lounge room, halfway through watching a movie, when she heard a knock at the door and someone shouting her name. She sighed and warmly and paused the movie as she stood up and walked towards the door, knowing it wasn't Seraphina. Her Pabarati would have just let herself in.
Izzy opened the door and smiled slightly when she saw Ari, "Hey Arianne. Here to talk about the wedding I assume", she replied. "Guessing the guys are doing something wrong", she continued, going by they angry tone in the woman's call.

Ari was just about to be impatient and flash herself into the house when the door opened and Isabelle appeared. Thank goodness it wasn’t the parents. Although she was older than they were, she never really got along too well with them. Plus, them appearing was totally not going to help her crappy mood. Good for them, they knew when to stay away.
“Ari,” she corrected with a small frown. Only the closest people could call her Ari and Isabelle qualified as one of those. More so than most people, anyways. “Well yeah,” she grumbled, tossing her hair over her shoulder, eyebrows still knitted together angrily. “I was nice enough to pop in and offer to sponsor everything, and what do I get? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. They didn’t even look at me. No ‘hi’, no ‘bye’, nothing! Like I wasn’t even there!” She whined, stamping her foot and scowling.
“It is so not fair!” Ari said. Although she was two thousand years old, there were times when she really just seemed like some immature child who just had to be the center of the world. Letting Affy out of her arms, she reached forward to grab Isabelle in a hug. “You know, I like you more than I like your brothers. You at least know what the word fashion means,” she sniffed.

"Ari. Sorry, got to remember that", Izzy replied with a slight smile, closing the door and motioning towards some chairs on the porch. "mind if we stay out here, the parents think you are a bad influence with all the party invites, and they don't even know about half of them", she continued smirking slightly as she walked over to take a seat in one of the chairs.
"It's really nice for you to have offered that and maybe they just didn't hear you. They are very stressed over the whole thing and I know Alec is worried about telling our family. We have no idea how they will react", not knowing why she was making excuse for them except that she loved her brother.
Izzy hugged the other girl back, "yeah, I have tried to teach them some fashion sense but it goes in one ear and out the other. Still hoping I will get Max to get it right."

The warlock’s lips twitched into a small smile at the mention of parties and bad influences. She couldn’t help but think of how different Izzy was from her family – actually indulging in proper, non-hideous clothes and actual fun things like parties. “A party would be great right now. Maybe I’ll have one tonight,” she mused, instantly calming down and smiling. Oh yeah, that’d be a great stress relief.
“Izzy, I’m a bad influence on everyone,” she winked, following her and dropping gracefully into a chair. “I think your parents need to be looser with you children,” she shook her head, openly voicing her opinions. To be honest, people were a lot less strict in this day and age than they used to be, but it still wasn’t enough for Ari.
She rolled her eyes, “I was hoping Magnus’d solve the problem, but I think he’s too intoxicated to do anything about it,” she grumbled. “But the good thing is that we get to plan everything about the wedding,” Ari grinned. And that included the outfits. “Dress or no dress?”
Post by Isabelle Sophia Lightwood on Jun 8, 2013 7:45:34 GMT -7
Izzy grinned, "now that you have said that, if you don't I invite me I shall have to be very upset", Izzy replied, bending down to pet Affy. She loved Arianne's parties.
Izzy laughed, "that doesn't surprise me, i have been to your parties after all. Even if I am using a different name around the clave members there", she replied. "if you believe that then try telling it to them, they just keep telling me I am rebellious and need to learn to take orders", she continued.
"i don't think Magnus really cares much about what Alec wears", Izzy continued. "and it would depend on who for. The bridesmaids, deffinatly, but I doubt Magnus will let us put one on him."

“Dearie, you don’t even have to ask,” Ari told her with a sly smile, “My door is always open for you,” she promised, tucking her hair behind her ear. Oh yeah, she was going to put everything into the party tonight. Sure it wasn’t the midyear or equinox occasions but who cared? Delighted at the attention, Affy jumped up, tail wagging as she begged to be let onto Isabelle’s lap.
The warlock looked serious for a while, actually debating whether or not she could be bothered to lecture the girl’s parents. “I will,” she decided, not really caring that it probably wasn’t the smartest decision. The time for taking orders was over; Ari had actually given orders more than she’d followed them when she was still an active part of “human history” in any case.
She grimaced, “I’d been hoping to get back at Magnus with that,” she grumbled but didn’t pursue the matter any further. “To be honest, it makes everything easier. Suits are so much easier to design and find,” Ari mused, “but we need measurements. What’d you say about a weeklong shopping trip?” She asked, an impish smile on her face.

Izzy smiled, "I shall have to keep that in mind. I'll see if Sera wants to come, we could all use some stress relief at the moment", she replied. Looking forward to the party, she always enjoyed Ari's parties, even if she did have to dodge most of her ex boyfriends. Izzy grinned and picked Affy up, scratching behind the dogs ears.
Izzy blinked, she hadn't actually expected her to say yes to talking to them, "not sure it's really that much of a smart move Ari", she replied, knowing her parents would not react well at being told how to raise their children.
Izzy laughed, "figured as much, but I really don't want to be turned into anything nasty", she replied before raising an eyebrow at her. "do you really think I would say no to a week long clothes shop Ari?"
Post by Arianne of Amyklai on Jun 9, 2013 4:29:22 GMT -7
Sera? Hm... she ran through the list of names in her mind and finally remembered where she'd heard it before. "Ah! The little miss Morgenstern!" Ari exclaimed, snapping her fingers. "By all means! Your guest is my guest!" She assured. Well, not necessarily. They were if they played nice. Otherwise, they were out the door, done and dusted.
She rolled her eyes at Affy's frolicking; almost wishing that she could be a puppy for all that attention. Once Izzy started to say no to her talking to the parents did Ari finally realize that the question had been rhetorical. Well then, what a pity. She would have gladly talked to them and started the revolution of liberal parents - but nothing was ever that easy, eh? "Pity, it'd be so much better otherwise," she grumbled. "But in a couple of years you'll be an adult and then you can do whatever you want," Ari told her with a grin. In her day, she had been allowed to do whatever she wanted to do however old she was. The good old days.
Ari stuck her tongue out, "if he wasn't a warlock though..." she left the sentence hanging. Well, Magnus was a warlock, which made it all the more hard for her to pressure him into doing things. "Perfect! Shall we go now? We can go to London to shop," she offered, "and anywhere else you want to go. Five star hotels included. My treat!" She grinned wildly. Those were her favorite kinds of shopping trips; oh the things that money and magic could accomplish!
Post by Isabelle Sophia Lightwood on Jun 9, 2013 6:56:09 GMT -7
Izzy smiled, "she has come with me before, she will not cause you any trouble Ari", she replied, knowing what Ari maybe worried about. "Assuming you have clave members though we will both need to keep an alias during the party", she continued. "Ohh damn I'm going to have to tell that fey boy that I am no longer interested, my heart has fallen for another. Actually what I don't need, a pissed off fey", she replied with a sigh.
"Exactly, I will only need to put up with their rules for a few more years till I am free to at least be part of the circle, though I will still have to follow some orders", she replied, wishing the years would hurry up and go by, she hated sitting on the side lines.
"If he wasn't a warlock I would defiantly considerate it", Izzy smirked as she replied. She grinned at the chance of a shopping spree. "Of course just let me grab a few things before we go."
Post by Arianne of Amyklai on Jun 9, 2013 7:24:29 GMT -7
Oh, she had? Ari blinked; sure she was pretty forgetful, but she should have remembered one of Izzy’s friends. Oh whatever, it didn’t matter too much to her; the girl could have been anyone she wanted and as long as her rules were followed, she really didn’t care. “I really don’t mind. Clave, Circle, whatever. There will be no fighting in my parties. I don’t take sides but I do cover for friends,” Ari assured, waving the matter away.
She shook her head sympathetically, “some boys really don’t know how to let go, huh?” She frowned distastefully. Although she never actually got herself into relationships, she was dubbed a queen of one-night stands and was more than used to having men begging for a second round. Ari wasn’t usually impressed enough for them to prove themselves all over again so she kicked them out. And they didn’t go out quietly, which made things even more annoying. At one point in time, Ari was almost convinced that she needed a big dog to chase them out – or some kind of security person.
“Guess you won’t leave the Circle, then?” She asked, shrugging. Life was so much more fun when you didn’t have to worry about fighting in wars and winning and losing, but the choice was hers after all. “But it’s better than being completely controlled, I guess,” Ari decided with a smile. Magnus had better be happy that he was a warlock and not some non-magic wielder.
Making a shooing motion with her hands, Ari urged the other girl to go. “Go, go! Grab what you need. We’ll spend the night at my place and go tomorrow. Can’t miss the party after all,” she winked, taking Affy so the other girl could go. Now it was time to spread the word about the party.

"Guys can be clueless", she replied. "Mind you, I can be just as bad some days", she continued, her thoughts on Jonathan and how at least she wouldn't have to listen to her parents lectures about her relationships. He was someone they may actually approve of, which of course made her almost change her mind.
"Whether I leave the circle or not, the clave will still believe me to be one of them due to my families position in it. So I figure I might as well fight for what I believe, rather then just being accused for doing it", she really felt that it would be like this and nothing was likely to change her mind.
"Of course not", Izzy replied, slipping into the house and chucking some clothes into a bag and grabbing her boots from beside the door, sitting on her bed to lace them up and slip her daggers into the sides of them. Before standing and walking back out the door of the house to meet Ari back outside 10 minutes later. She hadn't told her parents she would be gone for the week because she knew they would approve. She would rather deal with the consequences later.

Ari shrugged, "you have no idea," she agreed, lips twitching at her own words. So far, there had not been a man to stay with her for longer than sixty years - that was her record for staying with one lover. After that, she'd killed him like a black widow. About half of the men she'd dated didn't survive long after she left them.
It sounded to her as though the girl had made up her mind about choosing sides. Oh well, there was nothing she could do now then. What a pity. Those who took sides tended to die - she preferred not having more people dear to her die, but Ari knew stubborn people - she was one herself. "Alright then, sounds like you've made your mind up, go for it, girl!" She grinned, sitting back and petting Affy distractedly.
As soon as Izzy was gone, she started sending out the details of the night's party to her messengers; they would get the word around for her. Now that that was done, time to prepare everything. As soon as the girl appeared, Ari grinned and got up, holding her hand out. "Let's go, shall we?" She said cheerfully, flashing them over to her apartment once the other girl grabbed her hand.
Her apartment was its usual stylish self - modern but decorated with ancient weapons that she'd collected over the years. It was one floor up from the usual party area and certainly didn't look nearly as chaotic. "Make yourself at home," Ari told her with an easy wave of her hand. They wouldn't be here for long though.

Izzy grabbed Ari's hand, allowing her to flash them to Ari's home, before her parents caught on to anything happening.
Izzy laughed and looked at her, "I really don't think I want to know", she replied, sort of curious about Ari's experiences, but not wanting to be the proverbial cat. She dropped her bag just inside the doorway to the guest bedroom and dropped down into a couch.
Izzy shrugged, "I'm not sure if I made the decision or if it was made up for me by the clave. Like I said, due to my heritage I doubt they would ever believe that I am not or don't want to be apart of the circle. If they don't believe I am I feel they will use me as a way to control and stop them anyway and I would rather fight then let that happen."
Post by Arianne of Amyklai on Jun 13, 2013 9:23:41 GMT -7
Ari nodded, "good choice," she agreed sagely. Even she herself didn't want to remember the memories; why would someone else want to? There were enough horror stories in the world without the need for her to add her more bizarre ones to the pool. Humans didn't know how easy they had life sometimes.
Letting Affy go, Ari dropped to the couch, sprawling out in an unladylike manner. There were times when she cared about being prim and proper, but this wasn't one of them. She knew Isabelle could take care of herself and trusted the girl to do just that.
Grimacing at the thought of war, Ari was starting to get tired of all this. What a pity peace didn't normally last long. "I can't wait for this all to be over. No more war, just parties and the occasional boyfriend as the only real problem here," she grumbled. "I'll need a good drink tonight," she mumbled offhandedly, twirling a bit of hair around her finger. Speech: #2B1D90
