I love to read and write, hence the roleplaying. I also enjoy chatting with my friends and love to make new ones. I love to thread with anyone and everyone and often take on more plots than I can handle, but I do it nonetheless. If you have questions, an idea for a plot, or just want to talk don't hesitate to speak up! Here on A Look In The Mirror I play Lilith, Seraphina Morgenstern, Lucian Graymark, and Lily Highsmith.
I'm a mad scientist who enjoys a nice mixture of cooking and science (making Alton Brown my GOD). Writing and reading are passions to me, so that is why roleplaying is also a passion, so I get on about every day. I love anime, so I'm clearly a bit nerdy. Any need for character ideas or help for your apps, ask away, I always have ideas for characters! Here on A Look In The Mirror I play Raziel, Lukas Hexcaster, Alec Lightwood, and Klaus O'Neill.
Coding, drawing and getting distracted - that's me. You'll almost always find me in the chatbox talking about something silly or random - assuming I'm not asleep, of course. I like experimenting with different styles and ideas of roleplaying, so those are always open and I'm up for a roleplay whenever you are! My characters here are Azazel, Arianne, Valentine Morgenstern and Ash Fangcharmer.
The Mortal Instruments universe and all canon characters from the series belong to Cassandra Clare.

It was quite a pleasant day for autumn, and with his father away on some business or other, Jace was hanging out in the grounds surrounding Herondale manor, enjoying the last of the sun before it disappeared entirely for winter. He knew he should probably be training or something still, but he’d hit it hard this morning and was pretty knackered, but if his father saw him lazing around outside, Jace would be in for it. To appease this guilt, he had a book open on his lap, written in Russian, which he had been reading on and off since he’d sat down outside on one of the stone benches which spotted the landscape. He’d debated going to find some of his friends, but decided against it. Hey, sometimes you just needed some time to yourself, right? Though if someone wandered by, he wasn’t gonna turn down the company. His afternoon could do with a bit of excitement.
Jace ran his fingers through his overgrown blonde hair and shut his eyes to the sun for a moment. He was in some jeans and a plain black tshirt, his jacket left somewhere indoors and the breeze tickled his bare arms pleasantly. It might be sunny, but there was still a slight chill in the air. With a deep breathe, he opened his eyes once more, picked up the book laying in his lap, and began to read again, his brow furrowing slightly in concentration at the foreign words printed on the pages.

Lukas just was out for a walk. Luke wasn't that hard on him for training, but he would still bicker him about being lazy and something about sloth or something or another. Oh well, Lukas never really payed attention to those conversations. He walked along, reciting the Habenera from Carmen. Sure, he was an absolutely terrible singer, but oh well. He enjoyed doing it anyways. Lukas' voice cracked for a second, but he shrugged and flipped through his bag aimlessly until bright hair caught his eye. He looked up and noticed Jace sitting in his garden. Reading. Something Lukas did more than 10 times a day. More than 20 actually. His white hoodie hid a tight black training shirt. They were the best for keeping you warm on windy days like this.
He quietly walked behind Jace, easy to do in Converse tennis shoes, careful not to step on a frosty patch of grass or snap a twig. Lukas looked down at what Jace was reading and recognized it as Russian. The boy wasn't not fluent in it, Simon was, but Lukas had French, English, Italian and Hungarian under his wing. Each Hexcaster child only had to learn one foreign language, but Lukas went the extra mile. "What'chya reading?" he asked, leaning on Jace's shoulder in a friendly way. They had basically known each other since, well since forever Lukas supposed. The Herondales and Hexcasters had been family friends even more than the Lightwoods or the Morgensterns. In fact, Lukas' little sisters Lucy and Susan were the same age as Cecily and those three girls were closer than three leaves on a branch. ((OOC: Just to say, I really like making histories, so I'm sorry if you don't like this, I can alter it if you want ))

((OOC: nope, histories are great with me, and it makes sense the boys have always been relatively close and the girls too...though I read through Lukas' bio and thought his siblings died? Either way, if they're the same age as Cecily either they are or were close so all good lol!))
Jace had been lost in thought over a particularly tricky word that he couldn't translate for the life of him, and so didn't hear Lukas coming up behind him till he felt his friends huge shadow pass over him. Without looking up Jace said You know, you really ought not to sneak up on friends like that Lukas.[/b] his tone, full of his usual arrogance, and a hint of amusement that showed he was please to see his friend. When Lukas asked what he was reading, only then did Jace finally set the book down and rub his eyes, before looking up. The Brothers Karamazov[/b] he replied, reading the translated title. Not half bad, but I'm behind in my Russian.[/b] he added resentfully, lifting his legs down from the bench and shifting up to make room for Luke. How come you're all the way up here anyway? Haven't seen you in forever![/b] It always seemed like ages to Jace, but likely it had been a few days, or a week. The boys had pretty much grown up together, and with sisters of the same age as well, the families had been drawn closer. But as they grew older, as with most shadowhunters, training takes over, and play time becomes less and less.

Lukas laughed at Jace's words, "But it's always fun to surprise people my dearest Jace," Lukas said, "But my extreme height and bulk give me away faster." He smirked at the usual arrogance in Jace's voice, and set his bag down next to the bench. He would never let Jace know this, but when they were younger, Luke had a GIGANTIC crush on Jace. Then Luke lost most of that and got the hots for Chance overtime, but Jace was still one of his closest friends. He shook his head at the title, "Never heard of it. Simon took Russian, not me. I could never get the grasp of it." Luke sat down next to the blond and looked at the foreign language, "Yep, can't help you there." He turned and ran a hand through his dark hair, blue eyes sparkling in the sun as they always did, "Just out for a walk. I love this time of year, so I just threw on some clothes and started walking. Where's the family?"

Jace rolled his eyes slightly. "You'e meant to sneak up on demons, not friends. Unless you're saying I'm some sort of demon in disguise? he joked with a twinkle in his eye. Yep, Luke had it pretty tough on the being discreet side of things, even if he could use a silent rune to cover up his footsteps. Jace was tall and lean, though his long limbs were all muscle, giving him a very cat like appearance. To Jace, Luke was more of a bear, though a gentle one, with his love of reading and such. But Jace had known him so long it was difficult to find your friends fearsome or intimidating. Likely they felt the same way about him. As for Lukas' old age crush on Jace, of course the teen hadn't realised, or if he had noticed anything, he just assumed the other boy had been jealous or in awe of him. Obviously something which had just boosted Jace's ever growing ego, that even guy's couldn't tear their eyes away. As Luke came to join him and failed to read any of the Russian words, Jace shrugged and flipped it shut. It's a ridiculous language, with their own alphabet and everything. I already learnt bloody Greek and Latin, and now Dad wants me to remember another set of letters and symbols. He groaned slightly. Jace took his training seriously, and that included the theoretical parts, but he still much preferred the physical aspects of being a shadowhunter - learning runes, fighting, defense tactics. Being the hero always appealed to him, his ego, and his sense of responsibility and protectiveness over his friends. He nodded slightly, his blonde lock bobbing as he did so, when Luke explained he'd been out for a walk. Fair play. Dad;s away on some business thing or other...he doesn't tell me much. He took Cecy with him, just incase I decided to throw a house party and she got trampled or something. You know what he's like. Jace said with a smirk. His Dad trusted him as far as training as hard as possible, and to look after his sister if it was life or death or something, but when it came to social events, Stephen Herondale trusted Jace not to pay attention to anything but his own enjoyment. Which was fair play really, he was easily distracted. Speaking of which, what's everyone up to later? I can call round the Lightwoods, you hit up the Morgensterns place, get Sera and Jon in on this. And if I can drag Alec out of Magnus' bed for half an hour, we could have a half decent night round mine. Free house and all. he suggested with a grin. Any excuse, right?

Lukas giggled, "That could be a possibility my friend. As they say, 'You can never be too careful.'" He plucked a dandelion and examined it. Luke was always examining things, he even once asked Uncle Valen if he had any bodies for him to examine. An odd thing about the Hexcaster was that he was always a tad-bit off, but he was still the Luke that everyone knew and loved. He was just curious, and sometimes he crossed boundaries with that curiosity that never quit. He scoffed, "Jace, have you ever seen the French number system? It's the hardest thing I have EVER learned. And I've learned a LOT of hard things, you know that." Luke knew that Jace was there when he was ranting about how 'fucking impossible' physics was, or how 'god-damned idiotic' Calculus could be. But one thing that he was never towards Jace was jealous. As much as he wanted to be, he was never jealous. Jace was just too.... not Luke. He was happy being him, awkward bulk, shy demeanor and all. "I see what you're talking about. Luke never tells me when he's going on business, but sometimes I can tell since he gets a little rowdy a-" Luke cut himself off and fell silent. He always knew to keep Luke's secret a secret, "Never mind," he said quickly. Even though Jace was one of his closest friends, even he couldn't know about Luke's secret. "Yeah! Sure! I could run over to the Morgansterns. I needed to get running instead of walking anyways. Oh, and calm down about Alec! Don't tell me that if you and whoever the heck you like got married you wouldn't be in bed 24/7." Luke smirked and leaned on his knees with his elbows.
Jace Herondale: WAHHHHH! *spins Luke round on his back* how ya doing luke?
Sept 29, 2013 14:13:31 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: *clings to Jace* Gooood *laughs as Jace spins* How about you?
Sept 30, 2013 13:25:46 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: fine and dandy thanks *sets down* you're far too tall to be getting piggy backs from me....MY TURN! *jumps on*
Sept 30, 2013 13:32:07 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: AGH!! *laughs and hooks his arms under Jace's knees* Where to? *smiles wide*
Sept 30, 2013 15:37:29 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: *lies in his arms rather flamboyantly, like a damsel in distress* take me to the moon young sir!
Sept 30, 2013 16:07:09 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: The moon? That's a little hard to do *Drops Jace's back like he's going to drop him, but catches him last second, laughing*
Sept 30, 2013 16:16:42 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: pffft such a let down. *eyes widen slightly as he drops and let's out a little breath as he's caught again* LUKE! bloody hell. *hits him in the arm playfully*
Sept 30, 2013 16:31:30 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: *hysterically laughing at Jace's reaction* HAHAHA!! Alright, you're getting heavy, you do a lot more training than I do, and trust me, now I know that muscle weighs more than fat. *lets Jace down*
Sept 30, 2013 16:34:02 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: *lands lightly on the floor* yeah, you should stop being lazy, really. Actually, don't stop. If you start training more i don't know how anyone will manage with muscle AND height. Except me, obviously, cause I'll still kick your butt. *grins*
Sept 30, 2013 16:45:37 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: *crosses his arms defensively* I am not lazy! Just because I enjoy reading and studying more than training like you, doesn't mean I'm weak either! *then breaks into a grin* Yeah, whatever blondie. You keep telling yourself that.
Sept 30, 2013 16:59:00 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: Never said you were weak, just weaker than me! Bahahahha bring it on Lukey
Sept 30, 2013 23:38:38 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: What're you going to do? Out fab me with that mop of hair? Why don't you go scrub pots with it, that'll work better than an abrasive. *smirks*
Oct 1, 2013 12:06:28 GMT -7
Jace Herondale: I out fab everyone, everytime. And my hair is soft as a baby's bum, thank you very much! *pouts*
Oct 2, 2013 14:07:39 GMT -7
Lukas Hexcaster: Mhm, okay. Well, good for you, knowing what a baby's bum feels like. *chuckles* Kidding, you know I love you. *pats his back*
