Shadowhunters
Warlocks
These are also called the "Children of Lilith". They are immortal beings that are born of a mundane and a demon. There is always a distinguishing marker on them, like blue hair, cat eyes, scaly skin, etc. This species has the power to control magic, yet cannot reproduce.
Vampires
These are also called the "Children of the Night". This species feeds off of the blood of others, not being able to eat real food without regurgitating. They avoid the sunlight, with only one vampire able to walk in the sunlight without harm.
Werewolves
This species is a little different from the others. They are able to appear human and only transform into their figure at certain times. They transform into a wolf, retaining in one pack,
while others wander aimlessly. Lucian Graymark is a werewolf, however, no one but his godson knows this fact.
Fey/The Fair Folk
while others wander aimlessly. Lucian Graymark is a werewolf, however, no one but his godson knows this fact.
Fey/The Fair Folk
These people are an interesting bunch. None look exactly the same, something always being different, whether it be their hair, eyes, or bone structure. They are different from Warlocks seeing that their changes are extremely drastic, not only just hair or eyes, but like their skin being see-through. They are unable to lie, and are ruled by the Seelie Queen.
Mundanes
Mundanes
The mundanes are people that were never trained in the Shadowhunter ways. They are the ones that Shadowhunters protect from demons. Mundanes that are found in Idris most likely have the Sight, or the ability to see the Shadowhunter world, while other Mundanes cannot. If a Shadowhunter marries a Mundane, two things must take place. One: The Shadowhunter is Descended from being a Shadowhunter and is stripped of their Runes, or Two: the Mundane is ascended and becomes a Shadowhunter themselves.
